For your convenience, the Parent Information Booklets can be downloaded. 4 Year Old Information Booklet 3 Year Old Information Booklet Current parents are able to hire the kinder for children's birthday parties for $60 plus a $90 bond. Please note the kinder is not hired out during school holidays or working bee weekends. If you are a current kinder parent and wish to hire the kinder please download the hire form. Forms can be emailed to: kinderhire@olympicavenuekinder.com.au Kinder Duty Parents are asked to volunteer for one duty a term in 3 year old Kindergarten, and one and a half sessions a term in 4 year old. These sessions are a lot of fun and it is a great way to get to know the teachers and the other children in your Kinder group. Working Bees The Kindergarten relies on our parent community to
assist in the upkeep and improvement of the Kindergarten and to
keep operating costs to a minimum. Parents are asked to participate in one working bee
during the year. Upon completion of the working bee, an $80 working
bee levy will be refunded (in Term 4). See more about Working Bees in the Fees Policy here. The Kindergarten offers a library of books that are
available to parents to borrow for up to four weeks, with a maximum
of two books at any one time. The books are related to families
and diversity, activities for children, cooking and food, reading,
raising children, grief and difficult times, and allergies, asthma
and illnesses. Olympic Avenue Kindergarten is a SunSmart Kinder. Sunhats must be worn by the children in Terms 1 and 4 and are optional in Terms 2 and 3. Sunhats should provide shade to the face, back of the neck and ears i.e. a broad brimmed, legionnaire or bucket hat. If the child does not bring a suitable sun hat and there are insufficient spare hats available, then there is a 'no hat, no outside play' policy. It is also the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure that an SPF30+ broad-spectrum water resistant sunscreen is applied prior to the kinder sessions. Spare sunscreen should also be included in the child's kinder bag. We also ask that children wear sun-protective clothing to minimise sun exposure to skin. See the Sun Protection policy here.
